Great NL swing and A-Rod steps up

I haven’t posted in a few days, but I have been watching the games.  How can you not be happy about going 6-3 and winning all three NL series?  Not only that, they come home with a 2 game lead in the AL East.  That was a great comeback win Sunday night and it’s nice to see they young guys like Huffman and Curtis get a chance to play and contribute.  The good news is that this team still is not hitting on all cylinders and when they do, watch out.  I am looking for them to explode after the All Star break, much as they did last year.  Should be a great summer in the Bronx.

On a side note, A-Rod approached Joe Torre before last night’s game and made peace with the ex-Yankee skipper.  In this instance, it was A-Rod who chose to be the bigger man.  Torre is the one who should have approached him and apologized, but hat’s off to A-Rod for stepping up and being the better man.  Torre should be ashamed of himself for not approaching A-Rod to apologize, but at this point, I don’t think it is in him to do so.  His ego is way too big for that and that is what cost him his job in NY in the end.

Wow; I can go on for a long time about Torre. But how about that Huffman and Curtis!! Getting a pat on the back from the VETS goes a long way for kids like that. It can be very intimidating for a kid stepping into the Yankee clubhouse. Sunday night’s game was a lot of fun to watch.
It’s almost July and Cano is still insane. That speaks out loud and I’m finally listening.
